damp-heat with blood stasis
Damp-Heat with Blood Stasis combines turbid, heavy Dampness, inflammatory Heat, and impaired Blood movement. Damp-Heat tends to lodge in the lower burner, while prolonged obstruction can injure the collaterals and produce stasis. Typical tendencies may include pelvic or lower abdominal pain, heaviness, a sense of fullness, sticky or discolored discharge, dark urine, irritability, and symptoms that are persistent or recur. Pain may become fixed or sharper when Blood Stasis is prominent. A red or dusky tongue with a yellow greasy coating and a slippery, rapid, or wiry pulse may support the pattern. It is generally read as a mixed excess presentation requiring attention to both the active Damp-Heat and the resulting obstruction of Blood.
