Blood Stasis obstructing the Bladder describes impaired movement of Blood in the lower burner affecting the Bladder region and urinary function. Common tendencies include difficult or painful urination, lower abdominal discomfort with a fixed or stabbing quality, and urine that may appear dark or contain blood. Symptoms can follow trauma, prolonged stagnation, or another pattern that disrupts local circulation. A dark or purple tongue, possibly with stasis spots, and a wiry or choppy pulse may be found, although presentation varies with the underlying cause. TCM interpretation focuses on a localized obstruction: static Blood prevents the Bladder from carrying out normal transformation and excretion of fluids. The pattern does not by itself identify the biomedical source of urinary bleeding or pain.
